Book Review 15: Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve

Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve.

‘In the distant future, cities on wheels fight each other for survival. As London pursues a small town, young apprentice Tom is flung out into the wastelands, where a terrifying cyborg begins to hunt him down.’

What can I say about this book? It’s truly amazing. Absolutely gripping from start to finish. A wonderful idea and world. So many unexpected things crop up along the way, concluding in an explosive ending. A number one for your reading list, worth putting everything aside for as you won’t be able to stop reading once you start. It will definitely leave you wanting to read more and missing the world and it’s inhabitants, but fear not, as it is continued by three more books!       Straight up to one of my favourite books of all time!
